ABOUT THE ARTIST

A recent transplant to Eugene from Southern California, Scott loves the natural beauty of Oregon. An active member of the Plein Air Painters, he finds working with the group in various locales around the state an endless source of inspiration.

With a natural gift for art and an eye for detail and scope, Scott is entirely self-taught. He began painting in childhood and earned a living for ten years designing and painting commercial billboards. His preferred medium is oil on canvas and his choice of subjects wide-ranging and ever-growing.

In 2011, Scott's painting, "Rosie", took Third Place
in the Springfield Mayor’s Art Show at the Emerald Art Center in Springfield, Oregon, and, in 2010, "Day Dreams", was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Springfield Mayor's Art Show. In 2010, "Ready For The Ball" was on display in Eugene’s Salon De Refuses.
